An integrity system still in the making?
Lessons so far for South Australia from the 'Whistling While They Work 2' project

Professor A J Brown is Professor of Public Policy and Law and program leader, Public Integrity & Anti-Corruption in the Centre for Governance and Public Policy, Griffith University. His research has had a major impact on the design of public integrity systems and whistleblowing law reform around Australia and internationally, as well as on the political culture and practice of Australian federal reform.

‘Whistling While They Work 2’ is the first large-scale (multi-institutional) empirical study of organisational responsiveness to whistleblowing, supported by 23 partner organisations in Australia and New Zealand including the SA Ombudsman and SA ICAC. Professor Brown is also currently leading an ARC Linkage Project entitled ‘Strengthening Australia’s National Integrity System: Priorities for Reform’.
