Twilight Seminar on The Ground-breaking Case of Graham v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection

This seminar will explore the High Court decision in Graham v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection; Te Puia v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection [2017] HCA 33 (6 September 2017). The case saw a majority of the Court invalidate s 503A(2)(c) of the Migration Act 1958 (Cth) to the extent that it restricted information being released to the High Court or the Federal Court for particular exercises of jurisdiction. The Panel will explore the administrative law and constitutional law implications of the decision and the dissenting judgment of Edelman J.
