Limits on State and Territory tribunals after Burns v Corbett, a late afternoon seminar in Canberra

The High Court’s decision in Burns v Corbett [2018] HCA 15 given on 18 April 2018 had immediate practical consequences for State (and, perhaps, Territory) tribunals. This seminar will explain:

 How, and when, the decision affects State tribunals

 Whether it affects Territory tribunals

 What reform options State and Territory tribunals might pursue in response to the decision.

Anna Olijnyk is a lecturer at Adelaide Law School, University of Adelaide. She teaches and researches in constitutional and administrative law.
