The Veterans’ Review Board: What’s Happening

Jane Anderson, Principal Member, Veterans’ Review Board

Ms Anderson commenced as the Principal Member of the Veterans' Review Board (VRB) on 31 January 2018. Prior to her appointment, she had served as a Member of the VRB since 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) degree from Flinders University of South Australia and a Master of Law degree from Cambridge University, United Kingdom. Ms Anderson worked as a Senior Legal Officer for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions in both the Sydney and Adelaide offices. In 2009, she was appointed as a Deputy President of the South Australian Guardianship Board, which also operated as a mental health review tribunal. In 2014, Ms Anderson was appointed as a Senior Member of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, working across its Guardianship and Administrative Review and Equal Opportunity divisions up until her appointment as Principal Member of the VRB earlier this year.

The seminar is open to all members of the AIAL and to any interested members of the public.Admission is free but registration is encouraged. The seminar attracts 1 unit in the ACT mandatory continuing professional development scheme for lawyers.
